Every Christmas, the gang (long time friends from CIBC of whom all but two still attend there now) come over to celebrate the holidays. Ten years ago, we didn't have that many people. It was just the 8 of us and spouses. Now we have the kids and they sometimes seem to outnumber all of us.
My home is only 1,600 sq ft and to figure out how to accommodate all of us in a room takes some creativity and lots of borrowing of items.

Here we are all 28: 14 adults and 14 kids for Christmas dinner. All of us were present except Lisa Y.. Had to borrow some plateware from my sister and some chairs from my sister-in-law. The only thing I was short of was matching cups so we had to use plastic for the adults. But we all fit comfortably and the kids entertained themselves upstairs in the loft! And yes we had leftovers from the 17.85 lb prime rib!!

The kids table was situated in our living room which was usually our playroom. Perfect to put a 8 ft table in. Unfortunately, this year we finally furnished the room to make it more 'adult-like' with a sofa set and ottoman.

This was the adults table and you can see it was a very long table. But I like it this way because everyone is in the same room at the same table. We just have to play some music chairs a bit to be able to catch up with everyone. You can't see it but to the far right of this picture is another kiddie table for 4 younger ones. They just keep on coming...

Prime rib is usually our main course for this occasion and this one was a huge 17.85 lb-er.
