In our little suburb, you can find tons of ducks, geese and crows. But if you look carefully, you'll find a wild bird like no other. This is a blue heron. We caught sight of it in the fields near our house. We were on our way to church and Emily made us pull over to take a picture of it. It just stood there.. great and majestic. Cars were constantly driving by it. You couldn't miss it if you were looking at the fields.

good eyes to spot those! we see "tons" of the white herons over here--'cause they stand out!
Three years ago, we had one of those herons in our backyard. It was huge! And it was interested in our koi fish. It stood in the pond doing you know what... Simeon scared it away... it came back a few times!
