Every year to celebrate the Thanksgiving holiday, KHA has a special Heritage Day dedicated to celebrating our heritage, our parents and grandparents.
Family members are invited to their child's class to watch special presentations along with feasting on a heritage potluck.
Fifth grade presented their State Reports. Emily presented her state of Rhode Island.

After visiting the classrooms, everyone was invited to a whole school Chapel where each grade performed an act related to Thanksgiving. Some sang songs; some recited poems; one grade even had each their students pray words of Thanksgiving in their native tongue.
After their performances, all the grandparents were invited up onto the stage where their grandchildren laid their hands on their grandparents for a Prayer of Blessing.
After this celebration, we celebrated in the evening with a good friend who celebrated his 55th birthday!

Holy smokes, Emily has grown so tall! I know I shouldn't be surprised since Nathan is shooting up like the proverbial weed, but not seeing Emily in so many years makes me believe she's just frozen in time! Soooo not the case!
