Ni Hao From China - Part 3 - 2009

I was so looking forward to going back to Hong Kong. This was my fourth time back to HK, the second time for the girls and probably the zillionth time for my husband. I really enjoy visiting HK: the sights, shopping and food are endless but I could do without the smoking, crowds and definitely the hot and humid weather. (I am such a wimpy Northern Cal gal!)

We took the ferry from Zhongshan to HK. We stayed at the Langham Hotel in Mongkok.. probably one of the nicest hotels and best service we received from hotel staff that we ever stayed at. It's attached to a huge shopping mall. So convenient and fun!

We were in HK for 5 days.. rounding out the trip. It was just the 4 of us. My parents stayed in Zhongshan for 12 more days.

If you ever go to Asia.. you cannot NOT make a stop in Hong Kong!

McDonalds had spicy chicken wings... so yummy..
We ate it twice! They also had chocolate and pineapple pies. No apple.

We immediately went shopping.. I found a cosmetic line with my name on it and no I didn't buy it.

Shopping at Ladies Market.. I got a couple of watches as prizes for my class.. $16 HK each..
which was little bit over $2 each.. what a deal!

One of the more popular items are ladies undergarments.. such intimate items so publicly displayed.. I found it strange

Of course lots of food..on the street to buy

On Goldfish Street..they sell fish.. cost is written on the bag.. in HK dollars.. 1US dollar = 7 HK dollar

Selling birds on Bird Street

... along with bird 'feed'.. live bugs..

We went to Ocean Park.. it's like a Marine World/Discovery Kingdom

.. Only with pandas.. they were very lazy and slept all day but we could see them up close..gorgeous creatures

And I finally got to go in with the dolphins.. always wanted to do it in the States but it was too expensive.. it was like 1/3 of the price in HK versus Marine World.. It was an awesome experience!

Lastly we visited a new park that opened this year: Noah's Ark.. a life sized ark was built and many exhibits supporting the fact that the Ark and God really did exist.! PTL!
