Puppy Heaven

Our friends, Laura and Amos, are caring for Gilda IV, a Labrador/Golden Retriever. Gilda is a female breeder for the non profit assistance dog organization Canine Companions for Independence. She is almost 3 years old and is on her second litter of pups. We were privileged to be able to see her current 9 puppies before they are delivered to their respective organizations.
All the puppies looked alike with only two that had slightly darker fur. We were most worried about Atlas IV (red collar) who was the first born and the tiniest of the nine and didn't move very much when he was born. All the pups were 5 weeks old when we saw them.
Little Atlas is not so little anymore.
No worries. He is doing just fine. Still small but small is not bad.
This one is one of the bigger ones.. have no idea who s(he) is since I can't see the color collar.
This is Amos; he has pinkish lips.
Anatoli was a flirty one.

This one is Amos
This is Atlas.
That face!
I totally can not tell them apart!

Our friends had a 24/7 live cam up the whole time and it was awesome to see the pups start to open their eyes; to running around and playing together. Most of the time they just napped and slept and pooed. Their human Mom Laura was a saint in cleaning up after them regularly, wiping down their area and potty training them and picking up their messes. She was incredible! This was Laura's 2nd litter she delivered. Three more to go!
